Growth of breast in males is referred as gynecomastia. As it can be revealed temporarily in relation with adolescence, it can be persistent due to the causes such as hormonal factors, nutrition disorders, thyroid and hepatic diseases and it requires intervention. The main cause of the gynecomastia is not completely known. In gynecomastia, that is, growth of breasts in males, three kinds of treatment techniques can be performed; surgical procedure, vaser liposuction or laser liposuction. Surgical method; since fat cannot be removed in equal amount from both breasts and scan can remain after the surgery, now this is not a too much preferred method. In vaser liposuction technique, fats in the region are removed out by melting through ultrasonic sound waves and even it is a very effective technique on the solidified breast tissue. With laser lipolysis or laser liposuction technique, solidified fat in the region is broken through the laser energy. The tissues are completely emptied, that is, the recurrence is not possible.
Gynecomastia surgeries are performed under general anesthesia. Depending on the condition of the patient sedation or local anesthesia can be also done in some cases. The surgery time is usually between forty five minutes and one hour. Discharge from hospital takes place in the same day. Staying in our country for three days for gynecomastia is required.
